The Germans are into being environmentally friendly. Seriously!
Monday evening I went grocery shopping at REWE and after payment, I realised that the cashier was simply pushing my stuff to the end of the conveyer belt. Where's the plastic bags??!
Looked around and realised that everyone else was carrying their haversacks or cloth carry bags! Thankfully, the supermarket SELLs plastic bags. How else can I carry 3.5 kg of foodstuff home??
So today, I assimilated into the culture =p
