Just came home from my BSF class. Interestingly, one discussion question went "why do you think God's wrath is so seldom spoken of today?"
I thought long and hard, and came up with this: Its all about the sales contract!
What do I mean?
When we sell the gospel, we mention about the nicer aspects of God - His love, grace, etc. The person hears the gospel is very happy satisfied with these contract terms and signs up to become a Christian.
But he slowly discovers that the contract came with some terms in super fine print about "Who God is" that the salesman probably said in passing, or didn't mention at all. So... repudiate the contract? Well, not quite. But the new convert stays on, but probably chooses to reject the part of the contract that states God is righteous and hates sin. Taadaah!
A tad of a stretch? Oh well... anyway, this wasn't the model answer my DL gave.
